Day 24 – Short Story Update and Milestone!

Oxygen Kisses
8008 Words

Escaping an anniversary celebration at the palace, a mysterious roadhouse leads Annette Staton to a reunion in the war-torn past, but is it a miracle or her death?

I didn’t plan to write a new short story today. It just kinda happened. So, now the May total is up to 13 short stories.

The words today means that I’ve hit a milestone for the year of 2012. I am now over 250,000 words out of a total goal of 500,000! Over half way, and it’s not June 30th yet!

If I can keep this up, I’ll definitely hit 500k by the end of the year. Horrah! Join me in a celebratory treat of chocolate ice cream!

  1. Any number of words is great! Both of you are doing so well.

I will have to total up what I wrote last year, and compare to this year. Or anything else to postpone my editing my latest novelette. 🙂

  2. I’m aiming for 300K (mostly translating my German novels into English). It’s hard because I don’t want to miss out on the kids. So I stop writing when they’re back from school. If all goes as planned, I’ll have 9 German and 10 English eBook novels out by the end of the year. I think I’ll do a year of short stories afterwards. 😉

    • It’s so great that you can translate your own books into at least one language, Katharina. Have your sales of the German books been higher than the English version on Amazon DE?

  3. not yet. Currently, the eBook market is still small in Germany. But createspace just opened distribution to Europe so I might finally get my POD-novels into the shops. I just need to format them all. 😉 Also, I expect the eBook market to explode similar to the way it did in the US a few years back. We’re always a little late over here. 😀
