November 1 – And We’re Off!

The first day of NaNoWriMo! It was amazing I was able to sleep at all, but surprisingly I slept really hard last night!

This morning I was able to do remarkably well for so early in the morning. No, I'm not usually a morning person, heh. I was able to crank out a little over 2200 in about 1 1/2 hours. It was great to both meet and exceed the average minimum word amount for the day before I had even gone to work (an average of 1,667 words per day for 30 days, in case you were curious)! So, here are the final totals for today:

Mother Hen is doing great, as well. She ended today right around 2800 words on her mystery cozy set in Alaska. Considering it's been a long time since she's done any sustained typing, and for the most part hunts and pecks, that's an amazing amount.

But, we're both tired now. It's been an eventful day in many other ways. Why is it that when it rains, it pours? That's what today has felt like. NaNo was enough for today, butnooooOOOOoo, 'real life' had to throw some big stuff in there, too.

Here's to hoping tomorrow is as good a day!
